Thousands of passengers including students and elders plying between Indore and Harda route had a tough time after private bus operators of Navlakha Bus Stand went on a day-long strike from Monday morning.

Indore: Thousands of passengers including students and elders plying between Indore and Harda route had a tough time after private bus operators of Navlakha Bus Stand went on a day-long strike from Monday morning.
Over 120 buses went off the roads after district administration authorities did not respond to their demands to operate buses from Navlakha Bus Stand as like before and also the administration's move to shift them to Teen Imli from Navlakha Bus Stand.

According to information, district administration had earlier shifted the bus stand from Navlakha to Teen Imli following the directives of the district collector to set up temporary bus stands for devotees and tourists heading to Ujjain from Indore during Simhastha Kumbh Mela to ensure smooth vehicular movement in city.
Meanwhile, passengers including elders had to wait in long queues at city bus stops on Monday. At least 12,000 passengers were affected by the strike. The worst hit were aged passengers going to Harda as they were forced to book private taxies to reach their places. While no special arrangements of special city buses were in place from the side of district administration to cater to the need of passengers.
