Ranveer and Deepika to head for an eight-day exotic vacation?

They are at the peak of their careers, bagging the Best Actor and Actress at the Filmfare Awards for Bajirao Mastani and Piku respectively, the couple have busied themselves with other high-profile projects - Ranveer has been filming the romancedrama, Befikre, in Paris, while Dippy recently wrapped up her Hollywood debut, xXx: Return of Xander Cage, opposite Vin Diesel.

Their publicly-played out romance has been just as eventful. Be it Ranveer chasing his gorgeous ladylove with a rose in hand or the two indulging in a bit of retail therapy at a luxury mall in Canada. They even took off to the scenic Sri Lanka to attend Deepika's close friend's three-day wedding celebration in March. Their families seem to approve of the alliance too, with Ranveer's parents, Jagjit Singh Bhavnani and Anju, and sister Ritika attending the Filmfare Awards, seated alongside Deepika's parents, Prakash and Ujjala Padukone, and sister Anisha.
Two weeks ago, Deepika made a pit stop in Paris to meet Ranveer, before heading to Hungary to shoot for a special number in Homi Adajania's next production, Raabta. Earlier, Ranveer had flown off to Canada to spend the Valentines' Day weekend with his girlfriend, practically breaking the internet with '#BoyfriendGoals'. The lovebirds had also taken off to the Maldives to ring in the New Year.

All had always seemed well between the power couple, before Deepika sent rumour mills into overdrive as she exited Mumbai's international airport recently, by saying that she hasn't seen the poster of her beau's hugely anticipated next, which has him locking lips with onscreen ladylove, Vaani Kapoor.
While some attribute the trouble in paradise to Deepika's growing proximity to Homi during her recent visit to Hungary which has been rubbished, others believe Ranveer's blossoming friendship with Swiss model-actress Julie Ordon, is the real cause. A source close to the couple informed Mirror, "It's just a lover's tiff but Ranveer and Deepika are going steady.

In fact, they are planning an eight-day European getaway with their respective families for some much-needed quality time together." When contacted, Ranveer's spokesperson responded with "No comments". However, the source adds that the actor is wrapping up Befikre only by July-end, after which the group will head to their undisclosed holiday destination. He will then honour several brand commitments that he had to put on hold for the past three months. Likewise, Deepika who has just returned to India after a long time will film for 17 brand endorsements before taking off to Spain for an award ceremony. She will shoot for three more brands upon her return.
If this doesn't call for a hat-tip to a couple that goes to great lengths to be together in the age of speed-dating and short attention spans, we don't know what will.
