RAWALPINDI: Four prisoners who had been awarded death sentence by a military court for being involved in the killing of a SSP and two army officers were shifted to Adiala jail from Gilgit on Sunday amid tight security.

According to a security official, the four condemned prisoners were taken to the jail in Armoured Personnel Carrier (APC) van right from Benazir Bhutto Airport. The APC van was escorted by Elite Force Commandoes.

He said the four prisoners who were awarded death sentence by the army court were involved in the killing of SSP Diamir Muhammad Hilal Khan, Colonel Ghulam Mustafa Jamal and Captain Ashfaq Aziz on August 6, 2013 in Gilgit-Baltistan’s area Chaias.

The two army officers and SSP Diamer came under attack by terrorists in 2013.
