Bangalore University has asked its colleges to make video recordings of the visits made by the Local Inquiry Committees.
This move comes in the wake of allegations of corruption against the Local Inquiry Committees.
Bangalore University Vice-Chancellor B. Thimme Gowda said that all the college managements have been asked to make video recordings of the entire process and members of the committee have been asked to submit the recorded videos along with their reports.
The Local Inquiry Committees inspect colleges and recommend if the colleges affiliated needs to be renewed, granting affiliation to new colleges and enhancing seats for existing courses or introducing new courses.
Bengalore University has also decided to upload reports of the Local Inquiry Committees on the varsity’s website.
The varsity has said that those who have any problem with the findings of the committee can complain to the officials of Bangalore University.
