Blooming hydrangeas at Kamakura, Kanagawa Prefecture's Meigetsu-in temple, known by the nickname "hydrangea temple," are seen on June 5 -- the start of the 2016 rainy season on the Kanto-Koshin region. The over 2,500 hydrangeas at the temple bloomed about one week earlier than usual this year. They are expected to be at their peak until the end of June. (Mainichi)
