Laddan tough nut to crack, says Siwan SP

Patna: Siwan police are finding it difficult to elicit information from Laddan Mian alias Azharuddin Beg in connection with the killing of senior journalist Rajdeo Ranjan.
Ranjan was shot dead near a fruit market at Siwan on May 13. Laddan, prime suspect in Ranjan murder case, is currently on a three-day police remand along with shooters Rohit Kumar and Rishu Kumar.
On Saturday, the police interrogated the trio and made Laddan and Rohit sit face to face. "Laddan is a seasoned criminal who has gone to jail on several occasions. He is a tough nut to crack," said Siwan SP Saurabh Kumar Sah. Earlier, the SP had repeatedly claimed that arrest of Laddan would make it easy for the police to reach to the main conspirator on whose orders Ranjan was eliminated.
The SP said until Laddan opened his mouth, it would be difficult for police to identify the main conspirator. Laddan is a close aide of former RJD MP Mohd Shahabuddin. TNN
