Three people escaped unhurt after gunshots were fired into their house in Baldivis in the early hours of Saturday.
Police say a man in the house in Rivergums Boulevard woke up around 2.45am when he heard a noise at his front door.
As he went to investigate he heard what he believed to be gunshots.
Detectives and forensic officers were called to the scene and examined the damage to the house. They confirmed that shots had been fired.
