‘Modiji, insaaf dijiye’, pleaded Manisha in suicide’s note

‘Modiji, insaaf dijiye’, pleaded Manisha in suicide’s note
Nagpur: Manisha Kushwaha (24), who committed suicide along with her paramour Mohammad Sarwar Alam (25) at Timki on Friday, had repeatedly sought justice from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and chief minister Devendra Fadnavis in the note she penned in a register. Manisha has blamed her mother while Alam accused his elder brother for ruining their lives.
The long book carrying the note is in the possession of Tehsil police.

Manisha and Alam had prepared a two-minute video clip too in their mobile phone spelling out the suicide pact, in which her five-year-old nephew Dadu too was killed. Dadu, son of Manisha’s elder sister Anita, was unable to understand what was expected of him when his aunt and Alam held the mobile camera before him.
The video has helped the police clear many doubts.
Published photographs of Modi were found in the book with appeals like ‘Modiji, insaaf dijiye’ (Modiji, help us get justice) and same for Fadnavis.
Manisha was found hanging from ceiling with Alam lying in a pool of blood between her legs at their rented room in Timki. Alma and Dadu’s throat was slit. A bottle of poison and liquor were found in the vicinity.
Police had found the book from the spot in which the couple narrated their troubles. The couple, along with Dadu, had eloped from Uttar Pradesh in 2013. A missing report too was registered at Kakadeo police station of Uttar Pradesh.

In the note, Manisha claimed she have been exploited by others at the behest of mother. Alam too spewed venom against his elder brother who had been victimizing women apart from repeatedly entering into matrimonies. Police are trying to verifying the claims.
Tehsil police, which have so far registered a case of accidental death, had to toil hard to convince the officials of Kakadeo police station to inform families of Alam and Manish at Shastri Nagar locality. The deceased were neighbours at Shashtri Nagar from where their relationship blossomed. Police are still unsure about the fact whether the two had entered into wedlock or were in a live-in relation.
Tehsil police had a tough day convincing Mayo hospital authorities to retain the bodies in freezer. It’s learnt that the forensic department wanted police to take away the bodies as soon as possible after the post-mortem.
Tehsil cops, despite contacting the families, haven’t got prompt response from the other side till now.
