Jodhpur and Sriganganagar hottest at 46.5 degree Celsius
JAIPUR: There was no respite from the scorching heat conditions across the state on Saturday when majority of the places got its maximum temperatures on and above 43.0 degree Celsius. Phalodi (Jodhpur) and Sriganganagar remained hottest in the state where a maximum temperature of 46.5 degree each Celsius was recorded, the met reports said.
Attributing the continued rise in the mercury to the active northerly winds the Jaipur met office said that heat wave conditions will aggravate in the state in the next couple of days.

Jaipurities woke up to a comparatively warmer morning as a minimum temperature of 31.6 degree Celsius was recorded. It was followed by a sultry afternoon as a maximum temperature of 44.6 degree with a humidity of 40 percent was recorded. Thought the weather for air traffic was clear in Jaipur, however due to the poor weather conditions at the Indira Gandhi Airport, Delhi at least 3 flights including an international flight from Oman to Delhi was diverted to Jaipur. In the afternoon the roads gave empty looks due to the continued rise in the mercury.
Phalodi(Jodhpur) and Sriganganagar were followed by Churu where a maximum temperature of 46.3 degree Celsius was recorded, Kota 45.8, Bikaner 45.2, Jodhpur 45.0, Barmer 44.6, Ajmer 43.9, Jaisalmer 43.5, Udaipur 43.4 and a maximum temperature of 43.3 degree Celsius was recorded in Pilani.
Meanwhile, mild dust storms and showers were witnessed at some parts in the eastern and southern parts of the state due to the active northerly winds.
In its forecast Jaipur met office said that heat wave conditions will further aggravate in the state in the next couple of days. Weather in the state would be mainly dry in the western and northern parts of the state.
