Speed may have been a factor, police say
A septic truck rolled over and leaked fluids in Falmouth Saturday morning.Falmouth police said they responded to a report of an oil truck overturned at the intersection of Sandwich Road and Turned Road. First responders notified police the truck was actually a septic truck leaking fluids onto the road.The roadway was temporarily shut so the fluids from the truck, which is owned by United Site Services of Sandwich, Massachusetts, could be contained. Falmouth Department of Public Works personnel responded to assist with the cleanup.Police said as much as 500 gallons of the truck’s contents may have spilled into the roadway and a storm drain.There were no injuries in the crash and it remains under investigation. Police said speed does appear to have been a contributing factor.
