Calling Qazigund town as gateway to Kashmir, Minister for Health and Medical Education, Bali Bhagat said the Government is taking due care for its overall development.Replying to a question of Muhammad Amin Bhat on behalf of Deputy Chief Minister, Bhagat said that 35 LED lights at a cost of Rs 2.06 lakh are being installed in Qazigund town and 40 street lights at a cost of 2.35 lakh in the Devsar town.He further said that 13 works at a cost of Rs 46.87 lakh have been taken up for execution of lanes, drains, foot paths, protection bunds and tile path in Devsar town and similarly 15 different urban works worth Rs 24.22 lakh have also been taken up in Qazigund town under CAPEX Budget 2015-16.He said authorization for execution of two works to the extent of Rs 15.07 lakh in Qazigund town for construction of protection bund has also been conveyed over and above the normal budget.
