AAP spokesperson Preeti Sharma Menon and former AAP leader Anjali Damania on Saturday termed Maharashtra Revenue Minister Eknath Khadse's resignation as "half victory" and said they would pursue the cases against him to their logical end.

Damania, who has been on a hunger strike demanding Khadse's resignation for the last three days, said she will end her fast only after the government handed her official information about investigation constituted against the BJP leader. She also alleged that Khadse had "indiscriminately" alloted at least 17 prime places to private entities.

Referring to documents exhibited at Azad Maidan, where she is camping, the activist said they were "testimony to Khadse's wrongdoings" in allotment of MIDC plots in violation of rules and objections of revenue department officials.

AAP leader Preeti Sharma Menon, who had alleged that the minister received calls from the Karachi house of gangster Dawood Ibrahim, said the resignation was a preliminary victory, and her party will pursue the cases against Khadse vehemently.

"AAP feels this is just the first step. We demand that a High Court-supervised probe be initiated into all the charges against Khadse ... if the probe is not supervised by the court, there is all likelihood that more 'clean chits' will follow," Menon said.

Menon also met Damania at Azad Maidan later, both greeting each other for "taking Khadse's wicket". Former AAP leader Mayank Gandhi also met Damania.

"I will continue my hunger strike till a time-bound inquiry is ordered against Khadse because there has been a trend that such leaders involved in corruption cases are politically rehabilitated by being made Governors of other states," said Damania.
