A Peoples Biodiversity Register (PBR) is a set of documents that are developed under the Biological Diversity Act of 2002. According to Panaji MLA and Goa State Industrial Development Corporation (GSIDC) Vice Chairman Sidharth Kunkalienkar, the project aims to assess and quantify the ecological and economic value of biological resources present at local level using appropriate methodologies to determine benefit sharing which will help in better implementation of the Biological Diversity Act, 2002 and its Rules 2004 and inform the policy maker on prioritising conservation action.Please log in to get detailed story.Tags: #Panaji to have Peoples Biodiversity Register (PBR)
