FCC Ghat thrashes RCC Bhaderwah in summit clash, lifts 12th Gufran C’ship

DODA, June 3: Friends Cricket Club (FCC) Ghat thrashed Raina Cricket Club (RCC), Bhaderwah in the summit clash by 6 wickets and lifted the title trophy of All India 12th Gufran Memorial T20 Cricket Championship, organized by Young Star Cricket Club Doda and sponsored by J&K Police, J&K Bank and Rashtriya Rifles Battalion Doda at Sports Stadium, here.
Batting first after winning the toss, RCC Bhaderwah made 152 runs for all out in 19.4 overs. Satish was the top scorer with 62 runs followed by Vishwajeet who contributed with 33 runs.
From FCC Ghat, Kartik and Rahul Sharma scalped 3 wickets each.
In the second inning, FCC Ghat team chased the target in 15.4 overs for the loss of 4 wickets. Hardeep Singh played a splendid inning of 88 runs while Gourav Gambhir made 32 runs.
From RCC Bhaderwah, Satish scalped 2 wickets while Rohit Sharma took 1 wicket.
Former Home Minister Khalid Najeeb Suharwardy, former R&B Minister Abdul Majid Wani, DC Doda Bhupinder Kumar, SSP Doda Zahid Manhas, Commanding Officer Rashtriya Rifles Battalion Doda were the main guests, who awarded the winner and runner-up teams vis-à-vis others in presence of ADC Doda Mohammad Hanief Malik, ACR Doda Ranjeet Singh, Executive Engineer PHE Department Er Wahid Zargar, Executive Engineer JKPCC ML Thapa, CMO Doda Dr Kulbhushan, former Administrator Auqaf Asif Jahan Gattu, Principal GHSS Boys Tanveer Wani, DySP Headquarters Abdul Qayoom Runyal, DySP DAR Nisar Ahmed and Senior Officer from J&K Bank Zonal Office Doda Papanjal Sharma, who were the special guests on the occasion.
Apart from winning trophy, FCC Ghat was presented Rs 1 lakh cash prize, whereas RCC Bhaderwah was presented runner-up trophy and Rs 50,000 cash prize.
Hardeep Singh was declared as Man of the Match in the summit clash, while Aamir Wani of Everest Bhalessa was declared as Man of the Series and was given cash prize of Rs 5000.
The final match was officiated by Munish Zutshi, Bharat Jajuriya, Waseem Raja and Ashok Sharma.
