Police said Kandan (48) of Chinna Kalapet was manufacturing crackes in his house as a cottage industry and sell them besides selling crackers purchased from other parties.This evening Kandan along with his wife Selvi and Mannamgatti of Cuddalore besides two workers were negaged in cracker manufacturing when the unit caught fire accidently. The crackers already manufactured bursted in the fire which resulted in the explosion of an LPG cylinder.
