Suresh Prabhu, Piyush Goyal, P Chidambaram, Ram Jethmalani, Misa Bharati, Sharad Yadav elected unopposed to RS

New Delhi, Jun 3 (UNI) Union Ministers Suresh Prabhu and Piyush Goyal, eminent lawyer Ram Jethmalani, Lalu Prasad’s daughter Misa Bharati, former JD(U) President Sharad Yadav and senior Congress leader P Chidambaram were among those elected unopposed to Rajya Sabha today.
Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu and Union Minister of State for Science and Technology Y Satyanarayana Chowdary were elected unanimously to Rajya Sabha from Andhra Pradesh. Two other candidates T G Venkatesh and V Vijaysai Reddy were also elected unopposed to the Upper House from the state.
Election Returning Officer and AP Legislature Secretary (in charge) K Satyanarayana Rao formally declared the four nominees elected unopposed as the process for withdrawal ended at 1500 hours today.
