Crime branch nabs an absconder and a gun runner in two different operations

AHMEDABAD: Crime branch sleuhts on Thursday arrested Kaushalkishore Dohre from near Bhargav road Ahmedabad.
Crime branch sources said Dohre was wanted in several offences of theft including the one registered at Dholka police station recently. "We have handed over the accused to Dholka police for further investigation" said a crime branch official.
In another operation conducted by the Special Operation Group(SOG) of city crime branch on Thursday Tarun Parmar, 29 resident of Rabariwas in Sabarmati with nabbed a country made pistol.
SOG sources said during primary interrogation the accused has confessed to have got the firearm from his friend and was moving around to sell it off.
"We are questioning the accused if he has in his possession some more country made fire arms" added a senior crime branch official.
Crime branch sources said most of the country made illegal fire arms are brought from neighboring states like Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh.
"We have not chalked out a plan to strike at such factories in Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh with the help of the local police. For that we are in contact with senior police officials of both the states" said Deputy Commissioner of Police, Deepan Bhadran.
