Marvin Bagley III – one of the top high school basketball prospects of any age – has Arizona State and Arizona in his list of final six schools.

Former Tempe Corona del Sol and Phoenix Hillcrest basketball player Marvin Bagley III was ruled ineligible to play this season at Chatsworth (Calif.) Sierra Canyon on Tuesday by the California Interscholastic Federation Southern Section, the Los Angeles Times reported.

In addition to the desert schools, the 6-10 junior power forward also included heavyweights Kentucky and Duke, as well as Pac-12 schools Oregon and UCLA. Bagley's list comes just a week after DeAndre Ayton, a 7-foot center at Phoenix Hillcrest Prep and the top-rated player in the 2017 class, announced that ASU made his top nine.

Bagley is the grandson of former ASU great Joe Caldwell. He started his prep career at Tempe Corona del Sol – where he won a state championship – but decided to leave. After a brief stay at Hillcrest, Bagley transferred to Chatsworth (Calif.) Sierra Canyon High, where last season he was ruled ineligible.

Bagley is expected to play this season, and, no doubt, he'll draw attention. All the major recruiting services list the athletic big man as the top player in the 2018 class. It's not known when Bagley plans to make a final college decision.
