Jacqueline Fernandez is 'Housefull' franchise favourite

While in most franchise movies the actors stay put, it’s the ladies who end up playing musical chairs. Be it the Dhoom series or the Race series, filmmakers have opted for new faces when it comes to their leading ladies. The men, however, continue to star in every sequel that’s underway. Jacqueline Fernandez seems to be an exception to the rule. Like her Housefull co-stars Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh, she too is part of every movie of this franchise.

The Housefull movies have been highly successful at the box office and now have a loyal fan following. For Jacqueline, it all began with Housefull, where she was seen in the popular track Dhanno. She shook a leg with Akshay, Arjun Rampal and Riteish in the track which went on to become one of the most popular hits of 2010. In the second installment, which hit the screens in 2012, she starred opposite John Abraham.

Housefull 3 will she her paired with Akshay. Jacqueline says, “When I was actually called for the item song in Housefull, it was the biggest opportunity I ever saw coming my way. By the time Housefull 3 came around, it was a no-brainer. Just the fact that I was a part of the franchise from day one had a lot of sentimental value for me.”

Post Housefull 3, Jacqueline has three more releases lined up. Dishoom, Flying Jatt and a film with Sidharth Malhotra. 

It’s turning out to be quite a housefull year for her!
