Roll back fuel price hike: CPI(M)

June 03, 2016 12:00 am | Updated September 16, 2016 10:17 am IST - KAKINADA:

Demanding immediate rollback of the oil price hike, activists of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) burnt the effigy of the Union government at the Collectorate here on Thursday.

Addressing the activists, party district unit secretary D. Seshu Babji wondered why the oil prices were on the rise time and again in India, while the crude prices were downwards in the international market. Mr. Babji alleged that the Centre was increasing the prices of petrol and diesel only to benefit the oil companies. “It is nothing but failure on the part of the Cenre,” he said.
