Even though 'TE3N' is a thriller, the films soundtrack unravels it's emotional side. Clinton Cerejos off beat music seems like a extension of the narratives mood, giving a better insight into the films plot.
The composer slips behind the mic for the first song 'Haq Hai' that relies on its basic instrumentation guitar, piano and soft drums. Clintons intense voice whips up the macabre feel of the plot, making it appropriate for the situation. In 'Rootha', he creates a melody worth remembering. There is an inherent Bengali feel to it and Bianca Gomes voice helps enhance that beautifully. Benny Dayal and Divya Kumars energetic rendition makes it an appealing track. Next up is 'Kyun Re' in which Clinton attempts something unusual. He underplays Amitabh Bachchans legendary baritone and that gives the song a novel touch. Amitabh Bhattacharyas lyrics and Big Bs singing are rightly the focus in this song that has a haunting effect. It is interesting to note that the albums sound is not all melancholic. Vishal Dadlanis rock offering 'Grahan' is a pleasant surprise. The lyrics are cleverly written and the singing is first rate. This is the kind of album that runs the risk of being boring but the composer creates charming, unpredictable tracks that might have fewer takers but is indeed winsome.
