I am the voice of A...Aa: Samantha

Anasuya Ramalingam aka Anu, played by Sam isn���t just Nithiin���s love interest in A...Aa. Admittedly she plays the narrator as well. ���The entire story is narrated from my point of view. I am the voice of the film,��� quips the excited actress. So all the talk about ���Samantha being the real star of the film��� isn���t entirely baseless? ���There is only one star in the film and that���s Trivikram (director) garu.The rest of the cast and crew just helped him narrate a beautiful story,��� she retorts adding, ���Female-centric films are a rarity in Tollywood. And female characters generally have very little screen time. So even when an actress has a role that is equally important as that of the hero���s, people tend to look at it as ���dominance���. But honestly, this film is about both the characters. It���s only fair that the actresses are also given equal prominence don���t you think?���
The actress had no trouble slipping into the character because Anu, she says, is almost identical to her real self. ���She���s a lot like me. She is na��ve but also loves to do allari. She also trusts her instincts when it comes to making decisions. And I see a lot of myself in her,��� shares the actress.
Director Trivikram apparently pushed Sam to give her best. ���This is my third film with him and he knows me very well. With every scene he egged me on to try something different from what I���ve already done before. I think this character will mark a shift in the kind of roles I will choose henceforth,��� says Samantha.
