I'd message Trivikram 'I miss you' after end of day's shoot: Nithiin
Nithiin may have been paired opposite Samantha but the real love story that played out on the sets of A...Aa was between the hero and the director. 'I'd text him 'I miss you' after the shoot was done and he'd reply with an 'I miss you too', says Nithiin.
Admittedly, he was very anxious while awaiting the confirmation call from Trivikram. 'It was like I was waiting for a response to a love proposal.
I was a little low having suffered a few failures at the BO both as an actor and producer. I was so thrilled about the prospect of working with my favourite director,' recalls the actor.
'I'm playing a guy with emotional baggage. With a single mother and a younger sister to take care of, he is the head of the family. So, he is young and funny but I had to make sure that underlying maturity was intact,' says Nithiin who plays a guy called Anand Vihari.
The film sure had a difficult scene and this is what Nithiin has to say. It was the most crucial scene where Samantha says, 'Vadilesthunnava nannu',' to which I had to say, 'love chese antha luxury ledu, vadilese antha level ledu.' It looks so heart warmingly simple in the trailer but it was the toughest scene to shoot. I had my lines memorised but even after multiple takes Trivikram kept saying, 'something is missing.' I called for a break and sat down on the sidewalk and Trivikram joined me and explained the situation Anand was in again. The next take worked out perfectly.
After we wrapped shoot, I messaged him 'Why did this have to end? Why are you doing this to me? Let's start a sequel right away'. I've found a very good friend and a philosopher in Trivikram.
