Federation demands nomination of IM Pinjar to upper house
BELAGAVI: All India Federation of Pinjar/ Nadaf/ Mansuri Associations demanded the Congress party to nominate one of the candidates from their community for upper house.
Addressing the media persons here on Tuesday, Fakruddin Goravanakolla, national chief secretary of the Federation urged the government to nominate the name of Dharwad settled noted educationalist and philanthropist IM Pinjar for legislative council.

Ex KAS officer IM Pinjar runs several educational institutions and free of cost old age houses in Dharwad, who has been honoured with ‘Sir’ hood in 2012 by the British government considering his contributions to education and public welfare.
According to Goravanakolla, Pinjar/Nadaf/Mansuri community is lower community among Muslims spread in all over country. Making beds and pillows by cotton and weaving ropes is the occupation of the community, which is remained backward educationally, economically as politically as well. In Karnataka itself, the community has around 35 lakh population but scattered in rural areas. Goravanakolla urged government to nominate IM Pinjar for upper house as a part of social justice.
