A legendary Tonys tradition is leaving the Carlyle. Rick Miramontez’s theater p.r. firm O&M (now DKC/O&M, after a merger) has thrown one of Tony night’s most exclusive — and wild — bashes at the Upper East Side hotel since 2009.

But, “last year, there were so many crashers, the Royal Suite and entire lobby floor areas were packed and the elevators were taxed to the limit,” said a source.

The party was historically so rollicking that late hotel resident Elaine Stritch “came to the suite at 2 a.m.” one year, a spy said, “to complain about the noise, and stayed until 4:30.” The new location is being kept under wraps, but, “this year, security will be heightened, and the location will remain undisclosed until the last minute.”

The party was started in 2009 for the cast of “Hair,” which began the tradition of going until sunrise. In another wild incident at the party, “Christina Hendricks once accidentally lit her Burberry coat on fire and threw it in the trash.” The Tonys are June 12.
