Son disposed father's body parts far and wide

Alappuzha: Sherin John, 36, an IT consultant born and raised in US, who shot and killed his fat her, hacked his body into pie ces and dumped the body parts in various parts of the district last week, was formally arrested on Monday and remanded to judicial custody.
District police chief P Ashok Kumar said Sherin confessed that he did not get along with his father Joy V John (68) and the two frequently argued over family finances.It was on May 19 that Joy and his family ­ wife Mariyamma, son Dr David and daughter Dr Sherlin ­ arrived in Kerala from the US.
On May 25, Sherin and his father went to Thiruvananthapuram to repair the AC in their car. On their way back, they got into an argument that escalated. An angry Sherin allegedy shot his father four times, killing him on the spot.
