Municipal Commissioner G. Veerapandian has called upon people of the city to take part in the ‘Happy Sunday’ programme to be organised at M.G. Road near Indira Gandhi Municipal Corporation Stadium on next Sunday, June 5.
Mr. Veerapandian said the Vijayawada Municipal Corporation in collaboration with Vijayawada City Police is organising the Happy Sunday which is aimed at bringing in denizens together.
He said the event is sponsored by Y Screens of APIMS and traditional games like Thokkudu Billa, Puli-Meka, Tennikoit and cultural events like Kolatam, classical dances and others would be organised.
The organisers are also staging a 3K run. Y Screens head Y. Ratnakumar said that cine actors, politicians and prominent persons of the city will take part. The programme is organised with the support of DEEP Trust.
