Important to stay till end, in sports or politics: Gujarat CM

Gandhinagar: Chief Minister Anandiben Patel's statements at the valedictory function of the fortnight-long Karnavati Premier Legume (KPL) of BJP workers set tongues wagging on Monday. KPL was held at Naranpura in the constituency of BJP national President Amit Shah.
Though Patel avoided any direct comment on the whisper campaign to destabilize her within BJP circles she took a veiled dig at her opponent faction."It is important to stay till the last minute, whether it's sports or politics, and only who stay unfazed can progress," she said.
She congratulated the Vadaj BJP team, which were runners up, for battling till the last ball. Asarva ward BJP team became the champion. She also congratulated the organizers, commentators and others.
She said that the future belongs to the youth. "Whether it be Gujarat or nation, the youth will take the lead," she said. Some BJP workers felt that this statement was a hint towards impending changes in the state BJP. State BJP president, Vijay Rupani, congratulated the Ahmedabad BJP team and asked all district and city BJP units to organize such sports events in their respective districts.
