POONCH, May 30: Eight persons were injured when a car and Mahindra Xylo vehicle collided head on near Pir Ki Gali on Mughal Road today.
Reports said that the mishap took place when Xylo vehicle bearing registration No. JK02AP/ 6160 was on way to Jammu from Shopian side while WagonR JK02AG/1920 was moving towards Kashmir from Poonch side. Rashly driven Xylo collided with the Maruti WagonR and atleast five persons sitting in Xylo and three in Car received injuries.
The injured were immediately shifted to the Army Unit hospital at Pir Ki Gali. Later, they were removed to Surankote hospital. The Xylo driver escaped from the spot. Police has taken cognizance of the matter.
