JAMMU, May 30: Two days 15th Open Jammu District Fencing Chanmpionship, being organized by District Jammu Fencing Association commenced at Indoor Sports Complex, MA Stadium, here today.
In Under-14 Foil Boys, Tanish Mahajan (MA Stadium) bagged Gold medal, whereas Poorvak Suri (MA Stadium) clinched Silver medal. The Bronze medal was shared by Shivam Verma (JK Montessorie Fencing Club) and Daman Rakwal (MA Stadium).
In Under-14 Epee Boys, Sahiban Singh (MA Stadium) and Pragun Singh (JK Montesoree Fencing Club) bagged Gold and Silver medals, whereas the Bronze medal was shared by Samarthya Gupta (JK Montessorie Fencing Club) and Krishnanshu (MA Stadium).
In Under-17 Epee Girls, Sakshi Verma (JK Montessorie Fencing Club) and Arushi Sharma (MA Stadium) clinched Gold and Silver medals respectively, whereas the Bronze medal was shared by Shamshad Bano (MA Stadium) and Muskan Soin (MA Stadium).
In Under-12 Sabre Boys, the Gold and Silver medals were claimed by Sarthak Gupta (JK Montessorie Fencing Club) and Anubhav Sharma (MA Stadium) respectively, while Pratyaksh Gupta (JK Montessorie Fencing Club) clinched Bronze medal.
In Under-12 Foil Boys, Chanakya Sambyal (JK Montesoree Fencing Club) and Shivansh Gupta (JK Montessorie Fencing Club) bagged Gold and Silver medals respectively, whereas the Bronze medal was shared by Tanmay Gupta (JK Montessorie Fencing Club) and Sahil Ahmed (MA Stadium).
In Under-17 Foil Boys, Saksham Gupta (JK Montessorie Fencing Club) and Rabnawaz (MA Stadium) clinched Gold and Silver medals respectively. The Bronze medal was shared by Sahil Kumar (Ghou Manhasa School) and Aryaman Mahajan (JK Montessorie Fencing Club).
In Under-14 Foil Girls, Malvi Arora (JK Montesoree Fencing Club) and Apoorva (MA Stadium) bagged Gold and Silver medals respectively, whereas Riya Sharma (MA Stadium) and Narmada Thakur (MA Stadium) shared Bronze medal.
In Under-14 Sabre Boys, Mayank Sharma (MA Stadium) secured Gold medal, while Abhijay Sandhu (JK Montesorie Fencing Club) bagged Silver medal and the Bronze medal was shared by Ravish (MA Stad-ium) and Lakshya (MA Stadium).
The matches were officiated by Ujjwal Gupta, Shotu Lal, Ajay, Monika Sharma and Rachna Jamwal.
