Akshay Kumar's "Housefull 3" will release worldwide on June 3, and trade experts have predicted a good start for the film at the box office. They have predicted "Housefull 3" will have one of the best openings of 2016.
"Housefull 3" is the third instalment in the "Housefull" series, produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. Akshay, Riteish Deshmukh and Jacqueline Fernandez have been a part of the franchise since the beginning, while Abhishek Bachchan, Nargis Fakhri and Lisa Haydon are the new additions.
The film has created good buzz, with its trailer crossing more than 13 million views until now. The songs of the film have also got a positive response and the promotion has only helped the film generate good hype. And looking at the buzz on social media, trade analysts have predicted that the film will record the second-best opening-day box office collection.
Trade analyst Amul Mohan said that "Housefull 3" will earn over Rs. 15 crore, which is the second-highest after Shah Rukh Khan's "Fan." Check the top 10 opening day collections here.
"For a non-holiday Friday, the film is expected to cash in on a figure between 15 to 16 cr on day one which is fantastic. It's riding on immense buzz and is surely going to be an ideal summer holiday special for students who are right now in the midst of their school vacation. Add to all these things the fact it's one of the biggest comedy franchises it's going to be a winner at the ticket window, [sic]" a press release quoted trade analyst Mohan as saying.
Movie critic and trade analyst Kamaal R Khan (KRK) conducted a poll on Twitter, and based on that poll result he tweeted that the first-day collection can be more than Rs. 12 crore, which is again the second-highest.
The predictions say that "Housefull 3" will beat Akshay's "Airlift," which has the second-highest opening day collection until now.
Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, "Housefull 3" is a comedy drama directed by Sajid-Farhad. The film is slated for a June 3 release in 3,500 screens across India.
