And his place is incredibly well deserved. Watch in the video above as he scores a goal that could be worthy of a Puskas Award nomination (for goal of the season).

He beats the same player twice by flicking the ball over his head and turning him inside out for a pinpoint finish in the far corner.

The inspirational goal was scored during the ‘Football for All’ event in Switzerland.

BIG SAM, BIG DANCE

Sunderland boss Sam Allardyce has an excuse to let his hair down after keeping his side in the Premier League for next season.

The fact that Newcastle were relegated while Sunderland stayed up is an extra cause for celebration.

And he’s wasting no time revelling in the Black Cats’ win.

A video went viral on Twitter showcasing Big Sam dancing to a Rihanna song while on holiday in Marbella.

LOOK OUT SERGIO!

Sergio Ramos’s Champions League title celebrations almost came to an abrupt halt.

During Real Madrid’s bus parade to commemorate their 11th European Cup win, the captain nearly had his head taken off by a tree.

Luckily the Spaniard managed to duck under the branch just in time to avoid injury.

REAL MADRID KIT LEAKED

They’re Champions League winners, and now the world knows what Real Madrid’s home kit for the 2016-17 campaign will look like after photos were leaked.

The ‘throwback’ kit celebrates the club’s history and roots with a traditional white and blue design.

The Adidas kit was inspired by the first shirts worn by Los Blancos in the early 1900s, and has buttons and a collar added to this season’s more conventional design.

CHAMPIONS LEAGUE POTS REVEALED

Following Real Madrid’s 11th European Cup win, the pots for next season’s Champions League have been revealed.

Madrid will join the league winners from each of the top seven European leagues in pot one.

The new format means EPL champions Leicester will have an advantage by going into pot one, where in the old format they would’ve been placed in pot four due to their lack of experience in Europe.

Claudio Ranieri’s team will be alongside Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Juventus, Benfica, PSG, CSKA Moscow and Real Madrid.

Arsenal will be in pot two, while Tottenham will be in pot three. Manchester City will also be in pot two as long as they win their Champions League qualifier at the start of next season.

RIO ECSTATIC OVER RONALDO’S WINNER

Cristiano Ronaldo’s former Manchester United teammate Rio Ferdinand couldn’t contain his excitement with the Portuguese scored the winning penalty in the Champions League final.

The BT Sport pundit posted the below video to his Instagram account following the final kick of the match in Milan.

Ferdinand exclaimed that Ronaldo deserved the trophy for all of his hard work.

CRAZY EURO 2016 RE-SALE PRICES

Online ticket firm Viagogo are being criticised for an overseas loophole that is allowing Euro 2016 tickets to be sold for £18,000 ($36,700).

It’s illegal to resell football tickets in England, but Viagog directs buyers to their website abroad where touts can sell them on for huge mark-ups.

Two seats for England’s June 11 opener with Russia in Marseilles have a face value of £228 but have been advertised online at £15,654.88. With a £2,348.24 booking fee plus delivery costs and VAT, the total price reaches £18,500.28.

And this could introduce even more problems with keeping fans apart at Euro. The laws banning ticket resales were introduced to stop England fans sitting in potential trouble spots, and security bosses have already placed the tie with Russia at the highest state of alert over terrorism fears.

YOUNG LIONS ROAR

England U21s beat France U20s 2-1 in the final of the Toulon Tournament as the Young Lions triumphed in the competition for the first time in 22 years.

Jamie Redknapp, Sol Campbell and Robbie Fowler were among those who featured the last time England won the competition in 1994, but on Sunday Gareth Southgate’s side ended the long wait to secure a fifth title since the youth tournament began 44 years ago.

Lewis Baker, who finished as the tournament’s top scorer with four goals, and Ruben Loftus-Cheek fired England into a two-goal lead at half-time, before Abdou Diallo struck back late for France, but it wasn’t enough as the Young Lions held on for victory.

DROBGA’S STILL GOT IT

Didier Drogba scored an injury-time winner as the Montreal Impact downed the Los Angeles Galaxy 3-2 to maintain their place near the top of Major League Soccer’s Eastern Conference standings on Saturday.

Drogba’s goal in the fourth minute of injury time came after a terrible blunder by Galaxy goalkeeper Brian Rowe, who allowed the former Chelsea striker’s long-range freekick to squirt from his grasp and into the net.

The injury-time strike was the final twist of a pulsating game in Montreal which left the Canadian club firmly among the Eastern Conference frontrunners.

The Ivorian has now scored four goals to go with three assists in his last four matches.

VILLA’S EPIC BOTCHED PENALTY

David Villa doesn’t miss from the penalty spot often.

But the Spanish star slipped and botched a penalty in New York City FC’s 2-2 draw with Orlando City.

A penalty was awarded in the 70th minute after a handball in the area by Seb Hines, and Villa managed potentially one of his worst ever efforts on goal.

But earlier in the match Villa showed his class.

He linked up with Italian legend Andrea Pirlo, who set up a Villa goal in the 66th minute to give the hosts a 2-0 edge.

In the end, Orlando salvaged a 2-2 draw with Trinidadian midfielder Kevin Molino equalised the fourth minute of second-half stoppage time goal.

What a beauty it was as well.
