Minor kidnapped girl found in Manmad

Nashik: An alert Railway Police Force (RPF) team recently rescued a teenaged girl, who had been kidnapped from Chattisgarh, and caught her kidnapper in Manmad.
The RPF team got information about two youngsters - a girl and a boy - moving suspiciously in the Shirdi-Tirupati train. The team kept a close watch on their movement and finally questioned them.During the questioning at Manmad railway station, the two failed to give proper information about their identities and were detained.
"We made them get off the train after they failed to give proper replies to our queries. Thorough interrogation revealed that they were from Jamul in Durg district of Chhatisgarh. They, however, refused to disclose anything more and the girl was scared to speak up. This only added to our suspicion," a senior RPF officer from Manmad, said.
The Manmad RPF then contacted Jamul police station, which informed them about a kidnapping case registered with them. They had received a complaint on May 18, 2016 of the kidnapping of a local 14-year-old girl.
The RPF and the Jamul police soon exchanged the photos of the girl and the boy, which confirmed that the kidnapping case was related to the same girl. The girl's parents were also contacted by the police. The parents accompanied the police officials from Chhattisgarh to Manmad.
"The parents, during their talks with the RPF, had categorically denied handing over their daughter to anybody, who would claim as to be her parents. On Saturday, the police and the girl's parents came to Manmad and took the girl and the accused to Chhattisgarh," the officer said.
The RPF said since the kidnapping cases are dealt by the state police, they just have to catch the suspects and victims and hand them over to the respective police teams.
