With every car manufacturer offering multiple sports utility vehicle (SUV) models to Indian customers, Porsche AG, the German sports car maker, is differentiating itself by showcasing the off-road capabilities of its luxury SUVs Cayenne and Macan, which are available in the Indian market.

On Friday, Porsche AG organised an off-road drive event at MMRDA Grounds in Bandra-Kurla Complex where the credentials of its SUVs were put to test.

Half-a-dozen SUVs of both models participated in off-road tests on a track that featured a range of challenges including gravel traps, log crossings and deep mud terrains.

Pavan Shetty, Director of Porsche India, said, “With this special event, our aim is to draw attention to the extended capabilities of the brand’s SUV models.”

“Although drivers may not always encounter tough terrain on their daily commute, we want to highlight a range of features and assistance systems that provide driveability and safety alongside the smooth performance our enthusiasts have come to expect of a Porsche,” he added.
