Battling odds, Panchkula girl scores perfect 10
CHANDIGARH: For Priyanka, who has fought a medical battle since childhood, securing 10 CGPA was yet another milestone in her life. Born to teacher couple Suman Sharma and Subhash Sharma, Priyanka is a single girl child of the family.
A student of Holy Child School, Panchkula, Priyanka volunteered to take PM Narendra Modi's scheme "Beti Bachao Beti Padhao" to Australia under a special mission.
She attributes her success to Sangeeta Sharma, school principal. "I have a long way to go and would decide upon profession in Class XII. But, certainly, I wish to be a good human being, '' she said. "I am working on both sides, medical as well as maths. Let's see how it works out in future. I will consult my best friend - my mom," she added.
Priyanka's mother Suman Sharma said, "This is the only wealth we have with us. We get goose bumps as and when we recall the problems faced by us during her childhood days. She has delivered more than what we expected."
