CHANDIGARH: Thanks to the 24.2mm rainfall on Saturday evening, the maximum temperature dropped by 6 degrees below normal making it a pleasant Sunday for city residents. If the weathermen are to be believed, the week is expected to start on a pleasant note. Weathermen have even warned of dust storm with wind speed exceeding 45 kilometers per hour during the week.
Where the day turned out to be hot on Saturday the evening turned pleasant after the dust storm in the evening followed by rainfall till late night.
On Saturday, the maximum temperature was recorded at 41.2 degrees, 2 degrees above normal while on Sunday it dropped to 33.2 degrees.
"The temperatures will continue to be below 40 degrees for the first half of the week with sky being cloudy," said weathermen.
The minimum temperature too dropped to 20.1 degrees on Friday from 26.9 degrees on Saturday.
On Monday as well the sky is expected to be partly cloudy with possibility of thundery development. The maximum temperature will be around 35 degrees and minimum will be around 23 degrees.
