JAMMU, May 29: The winners of the 6th J&K State Level UCMAS Abacus and Arithmetic Competition ‘Clash of Champions’ were awarded here today, wherein Prayrit Das Gautam and Aanya Gupta clinched “Champion of Champion” title.
The students from different branches of UCMAS Abacus–a World Leader in Abacus Based Brain Development Program, took part in the Competition, which was organized as per the guideline provided by Akademi Sempoa and Mental Arithmetic UCMAS Sdn Bhd, Malaysia and UCMAS India Network at Abhinav Theatre, here today.
Around 500 students pursuing UCMAS course in different batches participated in the competition, which was conducted in 8 levels where 200 questions of Arithmetic (Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication and Division) were asked and children were given a time of mere 8 minutes to complete the paper.
Due to the vigorous training provided at UCMAS Centers in Jammu for State Level Competition, the children of age group 5 to 13 years answered trickiest of mathematical question within seconds.
On the valedictory function, Madam Vinod, Principal, Anand Public School, Sukhpur, MP was the chief guest, who awarded the winners in presence of Rupesh Masson and Sonia Masson, Directors UCMAS J&K, Centre Head of different UCMAS Centers namely Arun Gupta, Jyoti Kohli, Sandeep Choudhary, Laxmi Deep Gupta, Anita Bhan, Ritika Gupta, Sonia Rekhi, Baljit Kour, Shilpe Gupta, Gurmeet Kour, Seema Devi, Pallavi Hans, Arti Chopra, Rita Sharma, Reena Nandan, Harvinder Singh Rana and Course Instructors of different UCMAS centers.
On the occasion, third graduation ceremony was also conducted for the students, who completed UCMAS course.
While presenting vote of thanks, Director UCMAS J&K Rupesh Masson informed the parents about UCMAS National Level Abacus Competition (NLC) to be held on August 27 and 28 at Jaipur. He also updated them about the International Competition to be held on November 11 at Dubai.
RESULTS:
Winners of KG to 8th Level: Svamin Gupta, Zayin Dobriyal, Vanshika Kotwal, Aaradhya Talwar, Snaatan Raina, Prabdeep Singh, Pragati Raina, Parth Mahajan, Dhananjay Gupta, Satvik Bakshi, Aryan Abhishake Abrol, Suhani Gupta, Tapas Gupta, Aneesh Sharma, Parth Ahuja, Samkit Jain, Rajveer Shan, Vedhant Gupta, Devaansh Sharma and Peehu Mahajan secured first position, whereas the second position was clinched by Ayush Bhat, Arya Raina, Shivesh Dhar, Aaditya Singh, Mahir Mahajan, Anreeghya Sharma, Abhinandan, Moksh Gupta, Shivam Kohli, Lavnya Gupta, Rehan Gupta, Rishabh Bhat, Pranav Sharma, Jashandeep Singh, Krishna Mahajan, Manasvi Gupta, Soumya Mahajan, Oshin Pandita and Yuvraj Singh. The third position was bagged by Anshika Mahajan, Shivass Sharma, Arihant A Singh, Aalap Sharma, Diiptansh K Shrikhandia, Ananta Gupta, Sushrut N Wadekar, Shravan Koul, Ankita Pakaya, Aryaveer Singh Parihar, Abhra Pawan Sharma, Ryan Vivek Mahajan, Chhavi Gupta, Daksh Choudhary, Shine Mahajan, Shruti Raina and Saksham Kotwal.
Champion of different terms: Aaradhya Gupta, Stuti Dhar, Adhijai Mehta, Amrinder Singh, Rishi Gupta and Rishita Mahajan.
Prayrit Das Gautam and Aanya Gupta were declared as “Champion of Champion”.
