When a DJ meets a
Banjo player, there's bound to be an interesting mix of music and drama. That's exactly what Eros International's 'Banjo' promises. Starring
Riteish Deshmukh in a never-seen-before avatar alongside Nargis Fakhri, the film is directed by National Award winner
Ravi Jadhav. It has music by Vishal-Shekhar and lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya.

The musical drama kicks off its promotional campaign that's said to be unconventional.
While the makers launched two posters earlier this week, they now have a surprise up their sleeve with the teaser, which features a voice-over by
Abhishek Bachchan. To be launched online today exclusively on Eros Now, the teaser will also be attached to 'Housefull 3' and will play in theatres starting June 3.
Ravi says, 'I was toying with the idea of making a film on street musicians for quite a while. These artistes have what it takes to make it big, yet circumstances pose obstacles that hinder them from reaching their full potential. Producer
Krishika Lulla and I hope to highlight this and give the audience an entertainer that will stay with them for a long time.'
Commenting on its promotional campaign, Krishika says, 'The film is special to me because I believe these kind of stories need to be told. Ravi is a name to reckon with in the Marathi film industry and has been credited with several blockbusters. Promoting strong content is an extension of our beliefs as a company and we look forward to helping this movie reach as many people as we can.'
'Banjo', produced by Eros International, releases on September 23.
