SFI burns effigy of Doon varsity VC

DEHRADUN: Students Federation of India (SFI) activists burnt the effigy of Vice-Chancellor of Doon University here today. The protesters alleged anomalies in the appointment in the university.

Students Federation of India (SFI) activists burnt the effigy of Vice-Chancellor of Doon University here today. The protesters alleged anomalies in the appointment in the university. They gathered at Lansdowne chowk and burnt the effigy of Doon University Vice-chancellor VK Jain. The protesters said the Vice-Chancellor should tender his resignation on the moral grounds.

They said the state government should quash promotions given to the teaching staff as it  done by violating norms. The protesters expressed concern over the shortage of the teaching staff in the university. DS Rawal, Vipin Panwar, Deepak, Satyam Rajput, Shubham Dubey, Mohit, Kuldeep Chauhan etc were present.
