Max Verstappen and Felipe Nasr to start from Monaco pit lane

Max Verstappen and Felipe Nasr will start the Monaco Grand Prix from the pit lane rather than the last row of the grid after their teams changed parts on their cars after qualifying.

Red Bull changed Verstappens survival cell after his accident at the Swimming Pool complex in Q1, which automatically results in a pit lane start under Parc Ferme regulations. Nasr experienced an engine failure on his first lap of Q1 and was due to start from the very back of the grid.

Sauber also broke Parc Ferme rules by changing engine cooling ducts and panels after the incident and took the opportunity to make changes to Nasr's suspension set up ahead of Sunday's wet race. The run to the first corner is often perilous at Monaco, but with a pit lane start both Verstappen and Nasr will feed into the action beyond Ste Devote.
