A criminal facing rape and theft charges from Bengaluru has been arrested by Virajpet taluk police on Saturday.

Madikeri: A criminal facing rape and theft charges from Bengaluru has been arrested by Virajpet taluk police on Saturday. Kamanna, a resident of Manjunatha Colony in Banashankari, Bengaluru, faced criminal charges and was absconding. He came to his aunt's house in Siddapur, Kodagu, to hide from Bengaluru police.
Gonikopplalu police arrested Kamanna from his hideout.
He had stolen a gold chain belonging to a woman in Bemmathi village recently. He has been involved in several other theft cases in Kutta, Kandagala and other places around Kodagu. TNN
