ISLAMABAD: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has urged the parliamentary committee to formulate the Terms of Reference (ToRs), for probe into Panama leaks, within constitutional parameters. Talking to state-run television on Saturday, he welcomed the formation of the parliamentary committee framing ToRs for investigations into Panama leaks. Fazal said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had presented himself for accountability “though his name was not mentioned in Panama Papers”. “Some people, who have had offshore companies, wanted the accountability of the prime minister only, which was injustice, he said, adding that all the people should be held accountable without any discrimination. To a question, he said the opposition had the right to hold peaceful protest on the issue but it should not manipulate the situation for political scoring. The JUI-F chief alleged that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI’s) politics of sit-ins had weakened the democracy. He said that his party firmly believed in ideological politics rather than levelling false allegations against others.
