CNG station employee stabbed to death in Nizampura

A CNG station employee was assaulted and stabbed to death while two others were injured following brawl over a petty issue in Nizampura area on Saturday afternoon. The deceased was identified as Govind Bharwad (24), while the two injured were identified as Kanu Bharwad (28) and Salman Shiekh. They were attacked by a mob of over 15 persons who are yet to be identified.

Vadodara: A CNG station employee was assaulted and stabbed to death while two others were injured following brawl over a petty issue in Nizampura area on Saturday afternoon.
The deceased was identified as Govind Bharwad (24), while the two injured were identified as Kanu Bharwad (28) and Salman Shiekh.
They were attacked by a mob of over 15 persons who are yet to be identified.

According to police, a rickshaw driver came to fill fuel at the station on Saturday at around 2.30 pm. The accused got into a brawl with the CNG station employees Kanu and his brother Govind.
The accused threatened to assault the brothers and left the spot.
About an hour later the accused came in two rickshaw with about 15 persons armed with sharp-edged weapons. They attacked Kanu, Govind and another staffer Salman Shiekh.
Onlookers said Govind, who tried to escape, was chased and stabbed by the accused. All three persons were rushed to SSG hospital. While Govind died of severe injuries to his chest, Kanu and Salman have suffered grievous injuries and are undergoing treatment at the hospital.
Salman was attacked with a sharp-edged weapon after he intervened.
"We have booked unidentified persons for murder. So far, the accused have not been identified. We will be monitoring the CCTV camera footages at the pump and nearby vicinity to track down the accused," said Fatehgunj in-charge police inspector A A Saiyad.
