Bokaro: Police on Saturday found the body of a 28-year-old man near Gulivita village on Mabour-Bhojudih road under Chandankyari police station here. DSP Chas Arvind Kumar Sinha said the body had bullet injuries on the head and chest.
The deceased is yet to be identified. This was the second such incident in the area in a span of seven months. Earlier on November 12, police had found two bodies of youths aged between 25-28 years lying close to the spot where the body has been discovered.
They were also shot on the head and chest. Despite efforts taken by the police, their bodies have not yet been identified.
The spot where the body was found is 4km away from Purulia (West Bengal) and 3km from the neighboring Dhanbad district. "We have informed about the incident through wireless to all the police stations in our district, Dhanbad and Purulia. The deceased is wearing shirt and jeans," said DSP.
Besides a police officer has also gone to the police stations situated in bordering areas of West Bengal and Dhanbad with photograph for identification. Police is going to publish photo of the deceased in newspapers too. "It seems he was shot by the criminals from point blank range. The murder may be the result of a rivalry," said Sinha.
