Two toppers are from Davangere

Sai Prasad Kottapalli, son of farmer Subbarao and Parvathi here, has got the seventh rank in the Common Entrance Test, the results of which were declared on Saturday. Sai Prasad is a student of Sir MV College at Davangere.

Subbarao told The Hindu that Sai Prasad used to study for more than eight hours a day and used to help him during holidays. He wants to take up MBBS.

Sourabh, who secured fifth rank, is from Pushpa Shamanur Mahalingappa Science College in Davangere. He attributed his success to the coaching programme at his college and said that he used to study for more than six hours a day. His parents Sundaresh and Arathi are doctors.
