AMMAN – Irbid Chamber of Industry and the society of investors at Al Hassan Industrial Estate on Saturday launched a USAID-funded project in the village of Malka, in Bani Kinanah District, that seeks to develop the Kingdom’s workforce by increasing employment in industrial professions in the private sector.
The programme targets women, youths and people below the poverty line in east Amman, Irbid, Aqaba, Zarqa, Tafileh and Maan, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
In a statement carried by Petra, the USAID said it will offer support to enhance the skills of human resources and assist the private sector in selecting labourers and equipping them with the required skills.
The USAID said the project aims at offering training and employment to around 250 job seekers in the coming year.
