Man's body found in south Phoenix roadway

The body of an unidentified man was found lying in a south Phoenix road Saturday morning, according to Phoenix police.

Authorities said a resident reported finding the body just after 6 a.m. in an isolated area near 82nd Avenue and Lower Buckeye Road. The victim had obvious signs of trauma, said Sgt. Trent Crump, a Phoenix police spokesman.

As of Saturday afternoon, the victim had not been identified.
