Initially, Santhanam was approached to provide comedy relief in Thala 57, directed by Siruthai Siva. But reportedly, the comedian-actor turned down the offer as he’s determined to do only lead roles. The latest we hear is that the makers have approached Sathish and Karunakaran for the same.
A reliable source tells DC, “Karunakaran has been finalised to play the role, but the makers haven’t made any official confirmation yet.”
Also rumours are abuzz that Ritika Singh will be seen in an important role! While Anirudh Ravichander has been signed to score the music, Siva is teaming up with Ajith for the third time after Veeram and Vedalam.
Anushka Shetty, who had worked with the actor in Yennai Arindhaal, is playing the female lead. It’s being said that the shooting of the film will begin in July. Sources also add that major part of the film will be shot in Europe, the US and Slovenia. Produced by Sathya Jyothi Films, film is likely to be released by April next year.
