Bangladesh mission celebrates Rabindranath, Nazrul’s birth anniversaries together in Islamabad
The Bangladesh High Commission in Pakistan has celebrated the birth anniversaries of Nobel laureate poet Rabindranath Tagore and national poet Kazi Nazrul Islam together in Islamabad.

Both poets were born in the month of May; Tagore on May 7 and Nazrul on May 25.
The screening of a documentary film, a discussion, the recitation of poems and essays, and the performance of dance and music were the highlights of Saturday’s celebration, the High Commission says.
Acting high commissioner Md Nazmul Huda presided over the discussion, which was attended by expatriate Bangladeshis and diplomats as well as officials of the mission, among others.
