Modi wave on the decline, Cong performing better: Sibal

“Where is the Modi wave? There has been absolutely no progress in the country in the past two years,” Sibal said.

Sibal also slammed the BJP-led Union government’s ‘dismal’ performance in the past two years, criticising it for the rising number of farmer suicides, high prices of foodgrains, rising unemployment among the youth, and banks being under stress with massive non-performing assets.

“Ever since he became prime minister, Narendra Modi has proclaimed himself as a devotee of Mahatma Gandhi. But, if Gandhi was alive today, he wouldn’t have been having a five-hour celebration at India Gate. He would have instead focused on finding a solution for the distressed farmers of Marathwada and Vidarbha,” Sibal said.
